How the Artemis Lite Operates

The Artemis Lite control box is exclusively designed for drills with a single pneumatic Accord type metering unit, generally a close-coupled 3-point linkage mounted drill. Its purpose is to provide an accurate seed drilling process.

It efficiently replaces the mechanical drive system on a pneumatic cereal drill through the use of processing electronics, an electric motor, and a precise speed sensor. The Artemis Lite functions as a variable rate controller that prevents seeding errors attributed to slippage between the land and the ground wheel.

Main Features of the Artemis Lite

• Designed using the experience learnt from the PSi Artemis (more than 1,000 in the field).
• A pre-start facility for priming the seed mechanism prior to drilling. Just press the ‘Pre-Start’ button, wait a few seconds, then pull away.
• Fast and straightforward operator product calibration. Simply press the ‘Drill Priming’ button, distribute the product into a container, weigh it, and input information into the instrument.
• Manual adjustment buttons for calibration on the move when application rates need changing.
• Ability to control everything from the tractor cab.
• The Artemis Lite includes all traditional drill functions, including symmetric and asymmetric tramline control, forward speed, two area totals, a low seed level alarm, and a fan tachometer.
• For precision farming, an upgrade option is available allowing serial connection to a third-party controller (Like /SOYL iPad, Topcon X-Console, JD Greenstar, Trimble screens, etc.), providing Artemis Lite with an application rate.
