The Shaftspeed 660 is an easy to use and cost-effective method of monitoring up to three-shaft speeds at the same time. It also offers forward speed, area and hour meter functions.
A range of instruments are a cost-effective and easy-to-use way of monitoring up to six different shafts at any one time. The RDS Shaft Speed also provides an audible alarm to let the operator know about any drop in performance or malfunction.
Using a magnetic sensor on each shaft, the RDS Shaft Speed is calibrated to show the shaft RPM on whichever channel you select. One each channel there is a speed alarm that will trigger both a visual alarm and an internal audible alarm.
There is a low-speed alarm threshold on the Shaft Speed 6, while both the 600 and 660 have programable high and low-speed alarms and a secondary alarm output that can physically inhibit operation.
The 600 and 660 also have forward speed and partial/ total area measurement. Both instruments have automatic cut-off switches that will prevent area accumulation while turning on headland.
The RDS Shaft Speed 660 also features an hour meter and a ‘stop’ alarm which can be used for monitoring specific components. This function will automatically activate an alarm in the event of a malfunction.
